Glanzlichter Stuttgart
Stuttgart's Glanzlichter (shining lights) are shining again! The light sculptures create a magical atmosphere on Schlossplatz; on Königsstraße and Schulstraße, thousands of LED lights shine.
The highlight is once again the light installations in front of the impressive backdrop of the New Palace. Tourist landmarks of the city are on display. The most central figure on the Schlossplatz is the "Stuttgart Rössle" (horse), well-known from the city's coat of arms. A Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing and a Porsche 911 represent the two automobile museums. The elephant represents the "Wilhelma" (zoo) and the ferris wheel the Cannstatter Volksfest (folk festival).
